Video: Manchester United's David de Gea invites Thiago to join him in the city

The relationship between Spain's U21 squad has been clear to see for anyone who followed the recent tournament in Israel. Not only are they building winning teams but they are building close relationships
for the future which will help them survive the tests which will surely come their way.
At the height, and it's usually at some kind of height, of the recent troubles between Real Madrid and Barcelona, there were worries in the Spanish media that players may not get on with each other whilst away on national duty. That arguments and near fights during matches between the two clubs, and words exchanged via the media, would cause a tension and make it harder for the country to win things.
That concern peaked before Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine but yet again the team delivered and if they were criticised during the tournament, their display in the final against Italy answered those who had questioned. The younger team also took apart a strong Italian team last night and the celebrations have been major in Spain with images and videos showing the players enjoying their triumph together. The picture of De Gea and Thiago is from a video on AS.
There's another video doing the rounds from earlier in the tournament which shows David de Gea inviting Barcelona's Thiago to join him in Manchester, the latter laughs it off, as he has done with most of the speculation. He'll have to make a decision soon and Manchester United supporters will hope their goalkeeper has been having more words in private.
In other videos of celebrations, De Gea and Thiago do appear to be close, but then all the players do. It's a great environment and if they can carry that on to the senior side then Spanish domination could continue for a while longer yet. De Gea has grown to be very popular at Old Trafford, if he can return from his summer break with his buddy from the U21 squad, then his popularity may rise even further.
De Gea is a major figure in the squad and is also good friends with Iker Muniain, who he and others have nicknamed Bart Simpson, that friendship could come in handy for Manchester United at some point too!
