Moyes odds-on for winning start

David Moyes is odds-on to win his first Premier League game in charge of Manchester United but has been handed a tough opening set of fixtures with Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City among their opening five opponents.

The champions will open up their Premier League defence at Swansea, where they're 4/5 with BetVictor to pick up the three points.
They then host Jose Mourinho's Chelsea, followed by a visit to Liverpool to hand Moyes a rigorous introduction to life at the top after he replaced Sir Alex Ferguson earlier this summer at Old Trafford.
The 20-time title winners will then welcome newly promoted Crystal Palace to Old Trafford before continuing their domestic campaign away to City, who are 12/5 to regain the trophy they won in 2011-12.
Despite the difficult start, United remain 9/4 favourites to retain the title ahead of Chelsea and Manchester City who are both vying for second favouritism at around the 12/5 and 5/2 mark.
Ironically, when Mourinho first came to the Premier League he was drawn against United in the second game of the season, albeit at Stamford Bridge, where he guided his 2004-05 team to a 1-0 win over the Red Devils.
The Portuguese's first game in charge will be at home against newly promoted Hull and Roman Abramovich's man are as short as 2/9 to get their campaign, and Mourinho's second reign, off to the perfect start.
Arsenal (2/5 general) will also start their season at home - against Aston Villa - and there has been support for Arsene Wenger's men to land the Premiership following the earlier announcement that he would be given significant transfer funds.
They are general 12/1 shots to break the monopoly of the Big Three while BetVictor are top price about the Gunners ending their barren run as they go 11/4 about them winning a major trophy.
Liverpool will also be hoping to progress in their second campaign under Brendan Rodgers and they begin at Anfield with a home match against a Tony Pulis-less Stoke team.
The Reds (a top price 11/5 for a top four finish) have been chalked up at a best of 1/2 (Bet365) to launch their new campaign with a home win as they look to rebuild Anfield's reputation as a fortress.
Crystal Palace are favourites for the drop (4/7 - Sky Bet, Coral) and the play-off winners have been handed a tricky home tie against Tottenham Hotspur and the layers are far from convinced that they can make a winning start to life in the Premiership.
The Eagles can be backed at 9/2 (Sky Bet, Betfred) although Paddy Power go just 10/3, offering the Lilywhites at a stand-out 4/5.
Newcastle continue to be supported in the relegation market following the news of Derek Llambias' resignation and Joe Kinnear's appointment.
The Magpies are now widely available at 10/1 (12s top price) to drop into the Championship and that could change after the first fixture which sees them pitched away at Manchester City (4/11, Coral) and Betfred have priced them up at 11s to upset the 2011/12 Premiership winners.
