Manchester United will start the 2013/14 season away to Swansea City in a
tricky opening run of fixtures for last term's Premier League
champions.
New manager David Moyes takes his team to the Liberty Stadium on 17th
August just a few days after a United select XI will meet Swansea in a
testimonial for Alan Tate.
United then welcome Chelsea to Old Trafford in Moyes' first
competitive home match in charge before travelling to old rivals
Liverpool before August is over.
The first Manchester derby of the season comes at the Etihad Stadium
on 21st September, which is the fifth game of the campaign, while the
Red Devils tackle north London duo Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in
November.
Moyes will face his former club Everton for the first time at home on
3rd December, with the return visit to Goodison Park scheduled for 19th
April.
The Christmas period sees United travel to promoted Hull City on
Boxing Day and Norwich City two days later, before welcoming Tottenham
on New Year's Day.
March opens with the second Manchester derby and United will also tackle Liverpool at home that month.
The season concludes with a trip to Southampton on the final day,
which is preceded by home games against Norwich and Sunderland.
