Chelsea and United race to sign Dutchman

Manchester United and Chelsea face a waiting game over the future of Vitesse Arnhem midfielder Marco van Ginkel.
It is rumoured that the 20-year-old has been identified as a key target for the Blues in the next transfer window, with the club having the upper hand thanks to their partnership with the Eredivisie club.
Highly-Rated
Man Utd have also expressed an interest in the Dutch international, with the club’s chief scout watching the player in the current European Under-21 Championships in Israel.
Vitesse have already rebuffed several approaches, and it is thought that Van Ginkel will focus on his future once he returns from his holiday after the tournament.
Future
Van Ginkel told the Daily Telegraph: “My future? Now I have a vacation and I’ll concentrate on that. After my holiday, we will see. Maybe.
“Manchester United? I didn’t know (about their interest), but I have two more years at Vitesse. It is a club that is growing, so I’m also happy there.”
The midfielder made his first appearance for the Dutch senior side in a friendly against Germany in November 2012 as a late substitute.
The Amersfoort born man has been at Vitesse since the age of seven and is a product of the club’s youth system.
