Man United revive interest in Benfica midfielder

David Moyes is ready to reignite Manchester United's interest in Nicolas Gaitan - despite the Benfica star's agent insisting his client is happy where he is.
The Argentinian has spent three years in Portugal after moving from Boca Juniors and enjoyed a fine season as Benfica finished as runners-up in the Europa League, Portuguese League and Portuguese Cup.
United have held a long-standing interest in Gaitan and A Bola claim that new boss Moyes has been tracking his progress and could make an offer once the transfer window opens.
Jose Iribarren, the player's agent, has confirmed he is aware of the rumours - although he has made it clear Gaitan does not want to burn his bridges with Benfica to force a move.
"There is no formal offer for now," he said. "We know the rumours have been appearing but I cannot confirm the interest of a particular club.
"Nico is calm and happy at Benfica, and wishes to continue there next season."
