Manchester City are readying
themselves for a bidding war with neighbours Manchester United for
German international midfielder Marco Reus.
United boss David Moyes is a known admirer of the Borussia Dortmund player
and the Scot is thought to be unimpressed with United's current wide
options. Portuguese winger Nani has long been tipped to leave the club
this summer after a season of patchy displays, while Ashley Young and
Antonio Valencia also had campaigns to forget.
Reus, who is valued at around £32 million, replaced Shinji Kagawa when the Japanese international left for United last summer.
However, United will have to act fast
if they are to beat City to his signature with new boss Manuel
Pellegrini looking to deploy Reus in his new look midfield, which
already comprises Jesus Navas from Sevilla and, most likely, Isco from
Pellegrini's old side Malaga.
City have been linked with the player since April, when Roberto Mancini was still in charge.

to the price and whether Dortmund want to sell."
