Abramovich keen to sign three Spain U21 stars for Mourinho

Chelsea transfer news: Roman Abramovich keen to sign Isco, Thiago Alcantara and Alvaro Morata

Roman Abramovich wants to meet with Barcelona star and Manchester United transfer target Thiago Alcantara as he searches for players to strengthen Jose Mourinho's squad, according to reports in Spain.
The 22-year-old scored a first-half hat-trick as the Spanish under-21 side won their second straight championship in Israel.
Abramovich is also in the country for the 90th birthday of President Shimon Peres, but El Mundo Deportivo's report claims he's used the opportunity to cast an eye over some of Spain's talented youngsters.
As well as Thiago, Abramovich is keen to recruit Manchester City target Isco and Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata.
Isco has also been linked with Real Madrid, and was sensational for the Spaniards in an advanced attacking midfield role.
But it's thought to be a straight fight between Madrid and Manchester City for his signature - especially with his former-Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini now in the Etihad Stadium dugout.
Morata, who Mourinho knows from his time at the Bernabeu, top scored with four goals in Israel despite a limited role from the bench. Mourinho gave Morata his first break at Madrid, and started him in El Clasico last March.
But the prize recruit would be Thiago. The Barcelona man has seen his release clause drop from €90m to €18m after he failed to play 60 per cent of Barca's games last season.
That could prove costly for the Catalans, with Bayern Munich the latest club reportedly interested.
An opportunity to reunite with Pep Guardiola may appeal to Thiago, while Manchester United's desire for a central midfielder could guarantee him the minutes he craves as he looks to secure a spot in Spain's World Cup squad next summer. David De Gea's friendship is another positive in favour of a move to the Premier League champions.
But the report claims Abramovich now intends to approach the Spaniard and sound out his interest in joining the Stamford Bridge club.
Thiago will decide his future in the next few days after returning from the Championships.
