David Moyes should raid former club Everton

Manchester United opinion: New Manchester United boss could sign up to four players from Goodison Park

David Moyes could make his first signings at new club Manchester United by moving for Everton quartet Marouane Fellaini, Leighton Baines, Ross Barkley and Phil Jagielka.
United are believed to be looking for a midfielder to partner Michael Carrick in the middle of the park, and 25-year-old Fellaini's dominant performances - notably against United themselves - last season, in which he scored 11 goals, prove he could fit the bill.
Fellaini has been capped 42 times by Belgium and has previously stated he wants to move to a top-four club.
Meanwhile, Baines caught the eye last season with some outstanding displays from an attacking full-back position and could be the perfect replacement for the ageing and somewhat fading Patrice Evra, with last year's summer signing in that position Alexander Buttner failing to make an impression.
Young Englishman Ross Barkley is also attracting the attention of the Old Trafford scouts after the 19-year-old's huge potential was realised this season with some dynamic displays in central midfield, bossing the game against the likes of Arsenal.
Barkley's estimated £12 million price tag is unlikely to deter the Red Devils in their pursuit for a replacement for Tom Cleverley, who has mostly flattered to deceive in the last couple of seasons.
But perhaps the most unlikely of Manchester United transfer rumours doing the rounds is the one that claims that Moyes is targeting 30-year-old centre-back Phil Jagielka to bolster his defence and possibly replace veteran Rio Ferdinand, 34.
Jagielka is rated highly by the Scot and has recently established himself as one of the first-choice central defenders in the England national side set-up. The experienced Premier League defender, who was signed by Moyes in 2007 from Sheffield United for £4 million.
