RIO FERDINAND: TOUGH START IS GOOD FOR MANCHESTER UNITED

RIO FERDINAND reckons Manchester United's tough start to the new season could help David Moyes.

New boss Moyes faces a baptism of fire when he succeeds Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford.
United face clashes against Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City in their first five games.
Ferdinand said: "This will really focus the guys. When we come back into pre-season we know we have to hit the ground running.
"This could be a blessing in disguise for the new manager and the squad.
"We don't think about the reaction if we start badly. We expect the results to go our way and to do well.
"We have a hard run of games but that is part and parcel of being a top footballer."
