Arsenal have five away games after Champions League fixtures... but what about Chelsea, Manchester United and City?

The strength in depth of Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal squad will be given a stern examination next season after the fixture list threw up five away matches in the Premier League immediately after their midweek Champions League engagements.
The Gunners face trips to West Bromwich, Crystal Palace, Manchester United, Cardiff City and Manchester City the weekend after five of their group stage games.
Manchester United face four away trips after their European weeks, visiting Manchester City, Sunderland, Tottenham and Aston Villa.
Far from ideal: Arsenal face a series of away games after Champions League ties

But by contrast, Chelsea face just one away trip after their Champions League games and Manchester City only two.
It’s the second season in a row City and Chelsea have been dealt a kinder hand by the fixture planners.
United had five away matches after their Champions League dates last season and managed to win them all  despite difficult assignments at Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City.
It could be argued, however, that Sir Alex Ferguson’s men were blessed with a kind group that contained Galatasaray, Cluj and Braga.
Arsenal would like a repeat of last season, when they were unbeaten in the league after Champions League weeks, drawing three and winning three.
That'll do: Chelsea will be much happier, with only one trip away after European clashes

Last year, Chelsea were also required to travel away just once after their group stage games - albeit to Sunderland - but they could only win two of their five home matches.
After their trip to Japan for the FIFA Club World Cup in December, they did have a Capital One Cup tie at Leeds United to fit in 48 hours later, but the strength of Rafa Benitez’s squad meant a 5-1 win and comfortable progress.
City endured a torrid Champions League campaign last year but they at least had five home games afterwards. They won three of them but lost perhaps the most important - the 3-2 result against Manchester United.
